 Symbian

It was the most popular smartphone OS on a worldwide average until the end of 2010, when it was overtaken by Android.Symbian was used by many major mobile phone brands, like Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, and above all by Nokia.Symbian rose to fame from its use with the S60 platform built by Nokia, first released in 2002 and powering most Nokia smartphones. Symbian 3, was officially released in Q4 2010 as the successor of S60 and UIQ, first used in the Nokia N8. Symbian Operating System is officially the property of Nokia. It means that any other company must have to take permission from Nokia before using this operating system.Unfortunately, Symbian OS demand is going downwards nowadays due to immense popularity of Android, Windows and iOS. Lastly Nokia says Sayonara to Symbian in June 2013 and moved toward Nokia Lumia Series. The current form of Symbian is an open-source platform developed by Symbian Foundation.

Blackberry OS

Blackberry Operating System is the property of RIM (Research In Motion) and was released in 1999. RIM has developed this operating system for its Blackberry Smartphones. Blackberry OS is completely different than other operating system. Smartphone design as well as interface style is also different having a trackball for moving of the menu and a qwerty keyboard.Blackberry OS is the close source OS and it is not available for any other manufactures, just like Apple. Apple is also a close source OS. The latest release of this OS is Blackberry OS 10.2.1.3. which was introduced in May 2014. Download WhatsApp Apps for Mac, Windows in 2016

WhatsApp on Tuesday launched desktop apps for Windows and Mac. The new apps are available for download via the company’s site and are compatible with devices running Windows 8, and devices running Mac OS 10.9 and above.

Whatsapp For PC And Mac

With the launch of desktop apps, WhatsApp is now available across all popular platforms in app form. WhatsApp’s desktop apps have been released almost 14 months after the company launched WhatsApp Web that initially marked the debut of the popular messaging app on non-mobile platforms.

Notably, the WhatsApp desktop apps work similarly to the WhatsApp Web client and the app will mirror conversations and messages from mobile devices.

“Today [Tuesday] we’re introducing a desktop app so you have a new way to stay in touch anytime and anywhere – whether on your phone or computer at home or work,” said WhatsApp in a blog.

The new desktop apps are synced with WhatsApp on mobile devices, and the app will run natively on the desktop, which means it will have support for native desktop notifications.

The WhatsApp desktop apps, just like the Web client, require users to scan a QR code using the using the WhatsApp app on the smartphone. On the smartphone, users will have to look for WhatsApp Web menu under Settings. Users will have to make sure they are running the latest version of WhatsApp on Android, Windows Phone, or BlackBerry.

WhatsApp has been lately working on adding various features to its messaging service. It is expected to add call back, voicemail, zip file sharing, and video calls support to the service soon….

Huawei Honor 5x Review 2016

Huawei Honor 5x

Huawei is a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider and Huawei Honor 5X is a budget phone which have little bit all the things that you’ve been looking in a smartphone. Its comes with the 4G dual sim connectivity, New Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC processor, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53, Fingerprint Scanner. Honor 5X comes in two variants White and dark grey, From my opinion the dark grey is the best.

Huawei Honor 5X

One of the Huawei Honor 5X’s best features is the it has a metal body. The device finish looks and feels much more like plasticy than metal. Honor is trying  too hard to make the device look alike metal, but gone slightly backwards in the process. Part of the reason may also be the fact is that the phone doesn’t feel very  heavy.

Huawei Honor 5X comes with 1080p 5.5” display .It runs on the Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop).Huawei gives a 13MP rear camera with dual led flash which actually captures descent photographs and at the front you get 5.0MP shooter which is really best for the selfie lovers. Here’s where the 5X falls up most. Camera specifications sounds good  and on the whole images look  very colourful and sharp, though not as sharp or detailed as other smartphones cameras’. It also struggled to  focus on people. Selfies likewise appear soft and cast a blue-grey wash on images taken indoors. The 5X’s lower-end processor is common for phones in this range and mostly gets you what you need, but sharp-eyed gamers may note a dip in speed. It has 16 GB of Internal memory and 2/3 GB of RAM and has 3000mAh battery which is not removable storage space is on the smaller side, but you’ll be able to expand it with a microSD card if you run out of room..

Huawei Honor 5X_02

Huawei Honor 5X has the power and volume keys  on the right side, the 3.5mm socket is on the top, the SIM and microSD trays are on the left and the Micro-USB port and speaker are at the bottom. There are two grillesat bottom but only the one on the right actually have a speaker.

The best thing is there are two  separate trays for both SIMs as well as external  storage. One SIM tray can hold a Nano-SIM while the other is designed for a Micro-SIM. Both slots are 4G-enabled, so this offers a bit of flexibility to the user.Huawei Honor 5X_01

Honor 5x Overall Review

Good

Decent design and build

Great display

Reliable performance

Excellent fingerprint sensor

Cons:

Average battery life

Software can be annoying

No wow factor

At this time  the Honor has came forward into the smartwatch market with an Android Wear based device. Honor is another one of the big smartphone manufacturers from China.Huawei honor 5x budget smartphone with the high end like features is really praiseworthy and best buy in the price of 12,999.

Stay tuned for more updates and for any query or suggestions please don’t forget to leave your precious comments………

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to modify its April 28 order making NEET mandatory for admission to undergraduate medical courses across the country for the academic year 2016-2017. Here, the Supreme Court order is explained in 10 easy-to-understand points:-
1- Supreme Court on Monday rejected pleas of state governments and minority institutions to allow them to hold separate entrance exams for MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2016-17 saying only NEET provides for conducting such test for admission to these courses.

2- The apex court put to rest all confusion by refusing to modify its April 28 order by which it had allowed Centre and CBSE to conduct a single common entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses through National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). The top court had approved the schedule put before it by the Centre, CBSE and Medical Medical Council of India (MCI) for treating All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) fixed for May 1 as NEET-1.
3- Those who have not applied for AIPMT will be given opportunity to appear in NEET-II on July 24 and the combined result would be declared on August 17 so that the admission process can be completed by September 30. Around 6.5 lakh students took up the NEET-I test held on May 1.

4- The apex court rejected the contentions of the state governments, private medical colleges and also the minority institutions like Christian Medical College Vellore and Ludhiana that they have the legislative competence to hold separate entrance tests.

5- “Prima facie, we do not find any infirmity in the NEET regulation on the ground that it affects the rights of the states or the private institutions. Special provisions for reservation of any category are not subject matter of the NEET nor rights of minority are in any manner affected by NEET.”

6- “NEET only provides for conducting entrance test for eligibility for admission to the MBBS/BDS course. We thus, do not find any merit in the applications seeking modification of order dated April 28, 2016,” a bench comprising justices A R Dave, Shiva Kirti Singh and Adarsh Kumar Goel, said. The apex court also made it clear that “the students who have either applied for NEET-I but could not appear or who appeared but could not prepare fully thinking that the preparation was to be only for 15 per cent all India seats and there will be further opportunity to appear in other examinations.

7- “To allay any such apprehension, we direct that all such eligible candidates who could not appear in NEET-I and those who had appeared but have apprehension that they had not prepared well, be permitted to appear in NEET-II, subject to seeking an option from the said candidates to give up their candidature for NEET-I,” the bench said. It also said that it “would be open to the respondents (Centre, CBSE) to reschedule the date of holding NEET-II, if necessary. To this extent the earlier orders stand modified.

8- “We may also add here that to ensure total credibility of the examination to be held by the CBSE, the Oversight Committee appointed by this court vide the aforesaid judgment dated May 2, 2016 shall also oversee the NEET-II examination to be conducted by the CBSE. In view of the above, it is also clarified that only NEET would enable students to get admission to MBBS or BDS studies,” it said.

9- The apex court in its order on Monday also noted that the stand of the private medical colleges (including minorities) that conducting of entrance test by the state violated right of autonomy of the said colleges, has been rejected.

10- “The State law providing for conducting of entrance test was upheld, rejecting the contention that the State had no legislative competence on the subject. At the same time, it was held that the admission involved two aspects. First, the adoption of setting up of minimum standards of education and coordination of such standards which aspect was covered exclusively by Entry 66 of List I. The second aspect is with regard to implementation of said standards which was covered by Entry 25 of List III,” the bench said. – “On the said aspect, the State could also legislate. The two entries overlap to some extent and to that extent Entry 66 of List I prevailed over the subject covered by Entry 25,” the court said while disposing of all the petitions.

Mobile Operating System (OS)

It is very reliable OS also immune to almost all type viruses. Some of smartphones operating on Blackberry OS are Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Curve, Blackberry 8520, Blackberry Z10,Blackberry Q10 and Blackberry Torch.

Palm OS

Palm OS (also known as Garnet OS) is a mobile operating system initially developed by Palm, Inc., for personal digital assistants (PDAs) in 1996. Palm OS was designed for ease of use with a touchscreen-based graphical user interface. It is provided with a suite of basic applications for personal information management. Later versions of the OS have been extended to support smartphones. Palm OS Garnet applications are primarily coded in C/C++. Two officially supported compilers exist: a commercial product, CodeWarrior Development Studio for Palm OS, and an open source tool chain called prc-tools.

After getting a huge success from its Personal computer Os .Ubuntu has launched a pc experience on mobile.Ubuntu Touch is a mobile version of the Ubuntu operating system which is being developed by Canonical Ltd and Ubuntu Community. It is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Ubuntu Touch is designed specifically for smartphones to power everything from entry-level handhelds to “high-end super-phones” that double as PCs. The OS is fairly cool, though. You swipe on the edges of the phone to bring up the app launcher, visit your home screen, multitask, and view menus instead of hardware buttons. The home screen is a bit different than what you see on iOS and Android, showing your open apps along the top and your shortcuts on the bottom. Lock screen features include: Missed calls and messages notifications, info-graphic animations, swipe left/right to unlock, lock screen security (Pin/Password), music control, date, time and alarm information.

After Nokia failed in 2011 with the MeeGo project most of the MeeGo team have left Nokia, and established Jolla as a company to use MeeGo and MER business opportunities. In 2012 Linux Sailfish OS based on MeeGo and using MER core distribution has been launched for public use. The first device, Jolla (mobile phone) was unveiled on 20 May 2013.
